Das Art : model kit painting, illustration, comic book creation

Group photo of the current/upcoming projects with (from left to right) Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell, Soldier 76 from Overwatch, Gally from Gunnm, Ash from Evil Dead and Dracula form the Coppola movie. The first 3 are ready to be painted, the fourth is almost done and the last needs to be fixed before I can start to paint him.

On my way for this second day of Salon Fantastique 6th Edition. Today the con opens from 10:00 to 19:00. And I’m bringing a box for one of my client who’ll come to pick it there. What’s in the box? No Gwyneth Paltrow has been hurt to fill this box.

At last, everything is set. Taking a breath on my booth on Salon Fantastique 6th Edition, Espace Champerret in Paris, from today (16:00) to Sunday (17:00). I'll paint or draw some stuff there (Avenue des Elfes, zone 3-4, next to the 4C pillar). Check their page/site for more details like schedule, access and buying tickets.

Finally, I won’t bring my Ash (Evil Dead) statue at SalonFantastique 6th Edition, in Paris. Too much work to be done on the swamp/deadite base (plus, I don’t want to break it again, already glued the chainsaw like 5 or 6 times). So I’ll paint this Rocket Raccoon bust instead during the Con, at my booth (Avenue des Elfes, zone 3-4). See you there in 2 days!

Didn’t touch Ash since the GeekUnchained II Convention as I didn’t had time for and had to finish Captain Future first but today, I’m getting back to him, painting his shotgun and pouch. Hoping to get him done for the SalonFantastique in Paris in November (I’ll get a booth there from the 3rd to 5th and hope to meet people there).

There was too much color yesterday so I’m back to basis with black & white… & grey for this tenth day of Inktober. Every year, October also means Assassin’s Creed and my favorite Assassin is Ezio Auditore in his old days (Revelations). @AssassinsCreed.France Can’t wait for AC Origins, by the way. #Inktober #Inktober2017

A new week begins and so is this ninth day of Inktober. I’m not satisfied with the anatomy of this one (head too big, right shoulder too small…) but that’s the game: one day, one inked sketch even if I don’t like the result so here is The Flash. As it was a request from my daughter, I might redo this one later in the month, maybe faster but surely better! #Inktober #Inktober2017

Looks like I can’t post a video before 1:00 AM on the weekend… Anyway, I may be late but the Major will never be! Hope you like these little videos. Don’t hesitate to comment ;-) Music credit: Chapter 5 - You Are A Floating Star by Lee Rosevere. #Inktober #Inktober2017

Seventh day of Inktober and it’s even harder to find some time during the weekend than it is during the week… I thought I drew too much guys recently so I pick a gal I like instead. Marvel did a great job while renewing some of their most famous characters and Laura "X-23" Kinney is a great Wolverine (who’s one of my fav character). So here she is! #Inktober #Inktober2017

Fifth day of Inktober 2017! The hardest part of this contest is to find 30 minutes and an idea… Today, I decided to draw the famous Count Orlok, best known as Nosferatu from the eponym movie of F. W. Murnau in 1922. A great black and white movie for a great inking contest! #Inktober #Inktober2017

Third day of Inktober 2017 and a new quick video. Today, I drew an alternate black & white version of one of my favorite characters: Spider-Man Noir (from a series inspired by noir movies and set in the early 30’). Let me know if you like this kind on tiny videos. ;-) I’ve created a YouTube channel for those of you who want to watch them in HD: https://youtube.com/channel/UCrO9jC1Uh0_n0E1SBUiYnAg Soundtrack of the day is Lonely Spider by Cullah, and A Dark Blue Arc Instrumental by Pipe Choir.

I wasn’t able to draw or paint for sometime but what’s better than an entire month of inking to get back into this? This month is Inktober! And today, a video! Starting with a character definitely great for black & white work: Eric Draven from The Crow. Hope you’ll like the video. Not the soundtrack I had when I was drawing but one I can use without copyright issue ;-) I won’t be irritated if you cut the sound and listed to Burn from The Cure instead.

Continuing my Ghost In The Shell long weekend with this (around) 1:72 Alakuneda, a kind of Spider Lightweight Tank from an epic scene where it fights against the Major Kusanagi in the Ghost In The Shell 95 movie. Still lots of work in order to have it clean.

A little plastic model from Kotobukiya, 1:72 Jigabachi, a kind of wasp helicopter from Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex. In the anime, the Major with the help of the Tachikoma and Saito, puts one of these down after a failure of the AI of the Jigabachi that makes it try to kill pretty much everything. An easy paint for the weekend!
